Cricketing Excellence

Year 11 student Tazeem Ali is a member of Warwickshire Bears Junior Academy and is showing incredible potential for the future.

Over the past year Tazeem has been successfully competed at the highest level and has continued to develop the potential he has long showed.

Tazeem played for the Bears’ 2nd XI at the age of just 14.  A right handed wrist spinner who is quickly developing as a batter, Tazeem took 24 pathway wickets this year and played regularly for Attock 1st XI in the Warwickshire Premier League and representing the Netherlands in the U19 World Cup.

Tazeem’s Journey to the World of Elite sport is well underway and in a recent meeting at Edgbaston which was attended by Tazeem, his parents, coaches and teachers.

His next steps were identified along with some advice that can be applied to everyone looking to achieve their own excellence.

  • Honest and open communication is extremely important
  • This is a Journey, but YOUR hard work and resilience defines when and where the journey ends
  • The priority is to build the whole person – Not just the athlete

Advice from the Senior Pros- ‘Be prepared to hear the things you may not want to hear or agree with, but be ready to respond with resilient actions and hard work’
