Pedal Power

Moseley School and Sixth Form, through their work with Modeshift Stars Sustainable Travel and Birmingham City Council, were thrilled to learn they had successfully won a bid of £8,000 from the Top Cycle Location funding.

Following discussion with students, staff and the Bikeability team, it was decided the money would be used to provide the P.E department with new bikes and equipment to continue encouraging students to embrace cycling as a way of getting fitter and helping to reduce pollution in our city – further promoting the use of sustainable travel.

The school has now taken delivery of 20 bicycles, 3 scooters, 20 helmets and numerous cycling accessories to which both staff and students will be able to utilise over the coming months.
