Mental Health & Well-Being Y7

Mental Health and Well-Being matter at Moseley School and Sixth Form. As you move into Year 7 you will naturally have worries about

  • getting lost in school
  • losing old friends
  • detentions
  • homework
  • being bullied
  • making new friends

Don’t forget a lot of you will be worrying about the same things, change is a normal part of life and can help develop your resilience. We will make sure we listen to your worries.

We have a lot of adults in school who will be looking out for you and if they see you are struggling with your feelings about things will be able to help you. We will make sure you know who these trusted adults are in school and where to find them. As well as adults, we have students who are Well-Being Ambassadors and they will also check in with you and if you need it can provide extra support to you every week. These mentoring sessions are with students who have experience in these “worries” you might be feeling at the moment.

We do not want anyone to feel alone and we will make sure you feel safe and secure in your new school.
