Dear Parents and Carers
Now that all the Year groups are back in school on Monday 15th March we will be unable to run the tutoring sessions during the day. We see the tutoring as a vital line of support for our students and will help them close the gaps that have developed during lockdown in English and Maths. There are only 200 students across the whole school who have been given this opportunity of free tuition paid for by Moseley School and we want them to continue to benefit even though we are back in school.
To enable the tutoring sessions to continue and for our students to get the full benefit we will be moving the sessions to after school timeslots. Students will continue to receive 2 hours of tuition a week. The sessions will take place in three 3 timeslots which are:
|3.10pm – 4.10pm||Online – In school|
|4.10pm – 5.10pm||Online – At home|
|5.10pm – 6.10pm||Online – At home|
If you have been allocated a 3.10 – 4.10pm time slot these will take place in school. Students will be expected to stay and complete their tutoring session. They will be provided with a computer to access their sessions but will need to bring their own headphones in.
For all other slots you will need to access the sessions from home.
In order to access their session’s; students must continue to check their Moseley School email accounts for contact from their tutor. The emails received from tutors will guide them to either a TEAMS session or alternatively a BRAMBLE session, both of which are platforms used by the tutors to deliver sessions. The links to the sessions will need to be activated on the day of the session.
All students receiving tutoring will be given a letter on Monday which will show the name of their tutor and the times of their sessions.
