Dear Parent / Carers

Pathways Evening – Thursday 24th March at 6pm

Pathways Evening is an important event where you can find out about all of the option choices for your child going into their GCSE’s in Year 9.

The selection of optional subjects at KS4 is one of the crucial moments in any student’s secondary education. We will be following a three‐year Key Stage 4 programme, starting in Year 9.

We aim to ensure that the information and guidance provided will support you and your child through the process and ensure that informed choices are made which lead to students enjoying and achieving well in all their subjects.

There are 3 pathways for students to follow and so it will be important that each student understands their own strengths and areas for development so that they can optimise their chances of success. We recommend that each student selects courses in which they have a real aptitude as well as interest.

Our aim is to offer a broad and balanced curriculum which enables accessibility for all and one which is varied and meets the needs and aspirations of all students. Ensuring the combination of courses our students study provides suitable progression routes into post‐16 study.

Please join us for this important event, which will take place in the main hall on Thursday 24th March at 6pm. Parking will be available via gate C on College Road. Pedestrian access is from either gate C or gate A on Wake Green Road.

Yours Faithfully
