As you will probably be aware, the Government has made the decision to stagger the return to school for students in January. Only students in exam year groups (Y11 and Y13) will return on Tuesday 5th January for face-to-face learning.
All other year groups will follow online learning from the 5th January until they return to school on Monday 11th January. All students must follow their online learning timetable they have already been given and attendance to sessions is compulsory. These replace their in-school education and are vital for your children’s learning to continue as best as possible.
I want to thank all parents/carers in advance for your support in ensuring your children are up, washed, dressed and fed in time to access their online learning each day.
As year 12 students have exams in January, we will be offering on site revision and exam preparation to them. Those involved will be contacted by the Sixth Form closer to the start of term, with a specific timetable for when they should attend school.
For students in Y7, Y8, Y9, Y10 and Y12 who will not be returning until the 11th January and are entitled to a free school meal you can order you food parcel here: Free school meal parcel. We must have you order form completed and sent by 23rd December .
I will write again in the new year with further information but until then, please enjoy a peaceful and safe holiday.
Mr A Bate
