Dear Parent/Guardian

There are five separate Sports Days coming up. All of the students will be involved in representing their House in a traditional track and field style event. We are excited about the return of Sports Day, which is one of the highlights in our school calendar.

The dates and times when the students will be involved are outlined below. They must arrive to school in their PE kit on these days. It is essential that the correct kit is worn. Sports activities only run for part of the school day, and so students will still be in lessons and will need their equipment for learning as usual.

*Year 8 and Year10 will finish school at 2pm on their Sports Day.

We are sure that they will be positive events, which can enhance the sense of pride in belonging to a House, both through competing for and supporting their House. There is always a great sense of achievement, with a vast number of pupils gaining success and leaving school with a medal for their efforts. These achievements will be recognised throughout the week, with results and successes added to the school website.

The weather forecast indicates an increase in temperature, so please encourage your child to wear sunscreen (at least factor 30) and a hat/cap. A refillable bottle is also a must; there will be access to water during the day. If there is heavy rain on any of the dates above an alternative date will be arranged.

Please feel free to contact the school if you have any questions regarding the events.
