Dear Parents / Carers,
Year 12/13 Parents Progress Evening – Teams consultation Thursday 4th February 2021
This Parents’ Evening will take place online. We will be using our existing class structures on Microsoft Teams to organise meetings.
The purpose of the meeting is to get up to date feedback on your child’s progress in individual subjects and to raise any concerns or queries you may have regarding the curriculum as well as the progress they are making. We trust these meetings will be productive in supporting your child. Please note that appointments are arranged at 5 minute intervals to enable all parents to meet with their child’s teachers. We advise that you ask your child to allow at least a 5 minute gap between each appointment. It is important that your son/daughter attends the meeting with you.
Students and staff will be arranging the times for the appointments during their lessons. Appointments will be available between 2pm to 6pm. Students will be asked to keep a record of their appointments. Please ensure that your child is clear about your availability for the evening. In order for the evening to run as smoothly as possible, we will be encouraging students to leave a 5-minute gap between each meeting booking. To enable this, please try to make yourself available for the maximum amount of time during the evening.
If you are unavailable, we will endeavour to make an appointment with you at another time.
How the meeting will work
The virtual meetings will take place on Microsoft Teams using the class structures already created for students. Teachers have already booked a whole class meeting that covers the whole evening. Each class meeting will have a virtual lobby that parents can access and wait in. Staff will invite parents individually from the lobby for their meeting.
Your continued support in your son/daughter’s education is most important. Together, we can work to help your son/daughter achieve the highest possible success; therefore I ask you to make every effort to support your child to make an appointment and to be available for conversations with teachers.
