Dear Parent and Carers,

Your child has recently undertaken assessments in all of their subjects, I am writing to thank you for supporting your child with these.

On Thursday 13th January we will be holding progress meetings from 1pm using our existing class structures on Microsoft Teams or via a phone call. We will be sending your child’s assessment results before this date in preparation.

The purpose of the meeting is to get up to date feedback on your child’s progress and to raise any concerns. These meetings are booked for 5 minutes and you have the option to ask for a call from a specific subject teacher should you wish to during this time. It is important that your child attends the meeting with you.

Booking Appointments

Tutors will be arranging appointments during their tutor time with students. Please ensure that your child is clear about your availability for the afternoon. Appointments will be available between 1pm to 4pm. Students will be asked to keep a record of their appointment.

How the meeting will work

The virtual meetings will take place on Microsoft Teams using the class structures already created for students. Tutors will have already booked a whole class meeting that covers the whole evening. Each class meeting will have a virtual lobby that parents can access and wait in. Staff will invite parents individually from the lobby for their meeting.

School Closing at 12 Noon

School will be Closing early to all students at 12 Noon on Thursday 13th January to allow for teachers and students to attend progress evening.

Your continued support in your child’s education is most important. Together, we can work to help them achieve the highest possible success; therefore, I ask you to make every effort to support your child to make an appointment and to be available for conversations with their tutor.

If you have received a letter informing you that your child has been selected to take part in the after school tuition programme, there will be an opportunity for you to attend a virtual tuition meeting to find out more information or to ask any questions you may have on Wednesday 12th January from 4.30pm with Mr Edwards, Deputy Headteacher Curriculum and Assessment.

Yours Faithfully
